Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi there, my Doodle loves to make snow angels and play in the snow for hours. How am I going to keep my house semi-dry this winter? Every time he comes in the house, it takes about 15 minutes for me to remove the snowballs that hang from his body.

Any ideas? Will a comb remove them quickly?

Warm water in a bowl, bucket, or bath. Or run a wash cloth under warm water then wrap it around his foot or leg - it will melt the snow and absorb the extra water. I also do this on his muzzle because his face gets covered too!
I like this warm water idea some of you guys mentioned. I just posted this exact same issue the other day because of their first experience with snow and my first experiece with Goldendoodle fur! Someone suggested a blow dryer to me, but they just wanted to play with it - still puppies at 7 months old! Hunter's gets really bad, he really has the feathering on the legs and HUGE paws. Daisy's comes off real easy, her feathering and feet are a lot smaller than Hunter's. Thanks for the tips! Warm water by the door coming up!
