Did you use SnugglePuppies to aid in the transition of your doods? I am thinking I will definitely buy one, but wanted to hear feedback on everyone's experience with them, as well as any good tips!

Yes, we had a Snuggle Puppy.  We took it with us the day we picked Sedona up from the breeder.  While we were there completing the "pick up process" the Snuggle Puppy was out picking up the scents of the others in the litter and the mommy.  Sedona slept with her puppy nightly for months and months.

Oh that is awesome! Thanks for sharing, Deanna. I will definitely get mine ahead of time and bring it with me when I pick up my guy. Did you use a crate for Sedona?

We brought Sedona home in a smallish crate (actually one we had to take our cat to the vet).  That was also her nighttime crate until she got too big.  Then we got the size crate we predicted she'd need at full growth and used the divider as she grew.  We didn't have to use the crate during the day as my husband is retired and home all day.  However, she still sleeps every night in the crate - she seems to like it and never fusses about going into it.

Wow, that is great! I have never crate trained before, b/c I never really needed to (I work from home and used baby gates), but I think this time around I am going to crate train. Thanks for the feedback!

You could send it to the breeder before - get your scent on it, get the mother's scent on it too.

That's a great idea, Allyson! I think I will bring it with me both at 6 weeks and at 8 weeks!

Yep! It was the toy we gave to the breeder to get some of mom's scent on it. Although I had to wash it several times.

I even bought a case of the hand warmers but only used about 5.

I have a brand new one for sale on the Buy-sell-trade forum.

Thanks Lynn! I have heard really good things about them! I found one that is the color of my little guy's Mom, so I think I am going to buy that one - just in case dogs aren't color blind after all!!!

Yes.. I only used one heat pack and the heart beat at night a few nights in a row. BUT she still carries it around and brings it to us as her 'mouthy' toy. Kosci will be 6 month old this month.

Oh how adorable! That sounds so sweet! I found a really good price online, so I think I will get one and just buy the extra batteries and heat packs. Thank you!
