So happy and so relieved...

I just wanted to share my good news with all the wonderful people on DK.  Our sweet little Ellie just went in this morning to be spayed. Just a few minutes ago I got off the phone with our vet technician and she said that Ellie's surgery was successful and there were no complications.  I have been a nervous wreck and on pins & needles all morning.  I don't know why but I should be used to it by now having been through this before with a male dog & male cat who were neutered and two female cats who have been spayed.  But it doesn't seem to get any easier.  They are my babies and it's just hard to see them go through any kind of discomfort...but now I am on Cloud Nine and feeling very relieved, very happy and very blessed!

I know I am a few days early but I just want to wish each & everyone of our American DK friends a very Happy Thanksgiving!  Hope you have just a wonderful time with your family & friends.  Enjoy the turkey & all the trimmings!

How is Ellie doing tonight? She may be a little restless tonight, especially if she is wearing a cone. Hopefully, by tomorrow, she'll be back to normal. Keeping her "calm" will be the biggest chore!

Sorry just getting this now Ro...Ellie did really well last night...she slept all night long not a peep from her...she is much more like herself this morning.  I am getting lots of kisses whereas last night she was not interested at all in that.  Her tail is even wagging today.  Her appetite is great and she is peeing & pooping right on schedule.  Thanks so much for thinking of us...you're a good friend...it's nice to talk to someone who has just recently gone through the very same situation...and yes you are right...keeping her calm is going to be our biggest challenge:)

That's the great news I wanted to hear! Now you can both lie back and get some much needed rest! We worry so about our little furkids.....no wonder we get those gray hairs! ( well...at least me anyway! ;) )

I know I am so happy that she is doing so well.  Haha Ro...oh yes don't you just love those little gray hairs that we get from worry...once a Mom always a Mom....whether it's our human kids or our furkids...Enjoy your day...and Ellie sends Enzo doodle kisses!
