Theo had his neutering done today and poor Baby Bear isn't handling it well at all! My pet sitter is also the vet tech so she was the one that handled all the surgery stuff and the anesthesia. She said he did really well in surgery and she kept the anesthesia very light so when they were done and taking the tubes out he was already waking up. I went to visit him at lunch to find his face bright silver. They spray him underneath to see if he is licking-he was :(. so I came back at 2:30 to pick him up and she said he was good to go and seemed to have quit the licking.
When we got home though he became obsessed with it to the point where it began bleeding! So off we went back to the vet to get more glue put on to hold the incision together and a Cone of Shame :(
Well-the only cone they had would have fit a St. Bernard, so they found this BiteNot collar that he came back home with. He just isn't a happy boy :(
I gave him a tiny bit of Benadryl-they said it was okay, to help him relax and rest and it seems to have taken effect, or he is just exhausted.
Nothing is ever easy...

Pee hole? Laurie, you are on a roll this morning!
I'll tell you, I had no luck at all with any type of clothing when my foster was spayed. T-shirts, underwear, whatever I put on her, she managed to push the fabric aside enough to get at the incision. I didn't try a onesie, but the only thing that prevented her from getting near it was the cone. I bought an inflatable one so she would be more comfortable and my walls wouldn't be banged up.
I agree it's worth a try, but the thing about the inflatable cone is they can sleep in them, so no worries at night, either. It's just like a big pillow around their neck, lol.
Ugh, this whole situation makes me so angry for both you and Theo. Can you not get this Dr. Scott on the phone and talk with him and have him see Theo. I would be finished with this other Dr. personally! The problem with even continuing at this particular Vet is times like this when you need Dr. Scott and he isn't there. If it is urgent you don't have a choice but to see someone else. I would think your Vet Tech/Pet Sitter should understand if you change Vet's after this.
I was so hoping to hear that Theo had a better night. I am so sorry he is having so much trouble.
Here is a discussion using a onesie with photos.

If I had a dog house I'd join you in that dance, so good to hear the little dood is feeling better.
