We have a new pup and she is 9 weeks old and we want to begin to ramp up her socialization. She is going to puppy kindergarten next week which I know will help but we'd like to do more. When we got her brother it was nicer outside so we were able to go to the part, sit outside of Starbucks, and overall get her exposed to quite a few noises, people, animals, etc. With the weather being cold and often rainy, and not a lot of places open to having pets, we were wondering if you all had any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Pet supply stores are a godsend for socializing opportunites in bad weather.
Thanks Karen. I'm wondering if that's enough? But I suppose I could find several different stores?? Thanks for the reply!

Great Idea!!! Thanks!
We bring Banjo with us to Lowe's and Tractor Supply stores (which is great place to buy his food).
We do have a new Lowe's near us, I will try that too!  Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
The Petco by us had a puppy playtime every 2 wks. Sometimes their were 1 or 2 other pups sometimes it was just Snickers but he played with us and the trainer.  Puppies had to be no more than 6mts old to participate. You may want to ask the pet store near you if they do this.
Thanks for this suggestion. I will check into that. Is it organized by Petco or did someone volunteer to organize this through Petco??
It was organized by Petco their trainers "ran" the playtime. The idea is to get you interested in their classes. However we went somewhere different for training we just took advantage of
the extra "free" socialization.
Great, thanks again for the information.
