Hi everyone!  I haven't been on DK very much but am looking very forward to next week when I get to meet some of my favorite Doodle people on the Doodle Cruise!

I wanted to share a project that I have been working on.  Many of you know that I volunteer for a local rescue in my area.  You may not know that this summer I fell in love with a very terrified terrier in a kill shelter and this rescue allowed me to pull him in the last hour.  This rescue and that little guy will forever have a special place in my heart.  I have been working with the rescue (www.bfpa.org) on a special project for an entire year now.  We have been creating a 2014 calendar and 2 sets of boxed cards.  They are finally ready and I am so very excited!  Every dog featured has a special story that is shared in the calendar/cards and all of the photos were taken by me.  100% of the profit goes to the medical fund for BFPA so that they can save more dogs.

I know that lots of rescues are asking for donations right now and I also know that you all may be waiting to order a Doodle calendar, but I would really appreciate it if you would consider purchasing a calendar or set of boxed cards to support this wonderful rescue.  Not only because they are my photos (LOL) but because each of these dogs has a special story and I know each of them personally. Thank you Karen for ordering!  And THANK YOU for always being there every single time I fall in love with a homeless, soon to be homeless, or death row dog. Especially Simon :)  You were the last person I talked to before I made that urgent midnight plea.  Of course you and I both know I was pulling that special guy with or without a rescue.

Got it!  For some reason, following the link on my phone didn't take me to the Fundraiser Details page, so I was missing it.  On my work computer, the link takes me right there.  Calendar is ordered!

I emailed Beverley with the info and got a personal response within minutes. Of course, I said I was a friend of Ronna';s, which is probably why I got VIP treatment. :)

I would like to think so too Karen but the reality is that Beverely is just one of the most amazing , kind and courteous women I know and she is truly thankful for every penny donated to these animals. So really her personal response had nothing to do with me at all!
