UPDATE- SOPHIE IS GETTING HER SURGERY! AND YOU HELPED DO THIS! THANK YOU ALL!

HOMELESS GD NEEDS OUR HELP!!!!
This beautiful curly 2-yr-old girl is desperately in need of costly cataract surgery to restore her eyesight! She was surrendered to a humane society shelter by her owner, who was unable to care for her. The Humane Society would not adopt her out due to increasing blindness because of operable cataracts, and would not pay for the surgery to restore her sight; Second Chance Animal Rescue pulled her from the kill shelter and is trying to raise money for the surgery. Please take a look- we can give her 14 years of being able to see this wonderful world around her! Any donation in any amount will help; even $5. Thank for looking. (photos also below)

Thank you so much, Eva, for helping Sophie see again!
I just added the paypal link up above in the info, as well!
I did...but for some reason it's reverted..?
OK, the place to designate the donation is in the PURPOSE field.

I hope my donation went to the right account. I wonder if someone here on DK would consider adopting Sophie ??? I would take her in a heartbeat, surgery done or not, but I don't live very close to her and cannot just go pick her up. Poor baby.
I think that when she has had her surgery and is ready for adoption, there is going to be a stack of adoption applications a foot high...she's young, has a non-shed coat (confirmed by the rescue, by the way), has lived in a home, is adorable, and WILL be healthy! I think once she gets past this surgery, her future will be as bright as can be!
That sounds promising, but I wonder if someone would just take her NOW. I hate the thought of her being in a shelter, though I'm sure they are taking good care of her. Maybe they could send her down to the White House... I hear they're looking for a doodle, and Sophie may just be the perfect dog for the Obama's...
Well, I emailed them and told them I would adopt Sophie immediately if they can get her to Seattle. We'll see if they respond. I can't stand knowing that she's in a shelter with eye sight problems. She needs to have surgery asap, and go to a loving family. We can make room for her, if no one else wants her.
Eva- she's not in a shelter! She is in a foster home. Second Chance pulls their dogs FROM the shelters and keeps them in foster homes until they are adopted. Sophie is being well cared for. If you read through the earlier part of this discussion (I know it's a lot, LOL) you'll see the whole story. Thank you so much for caring.
OK. I misunderstood. Thanks, now I can sleep tonight ;)
