Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
We just moved to Southern Oregon and I went by the animal shelter and told them I was interesting in rescuing doodles. Of course, they very seldom get a doodle, but this week they got two from a home that just left them in a backyard and did not train or care for them. I need to get a network going in this area for doodle rescue. My home is not appropriate for fostering now as we need to gate and fence the property. My dogs (three) are on leash when out of the house or dog run. I would love to help these two doodles. I fostered two other Oregon dogs in 2014 with a similar story. We found homes from Buddy and Scout in California. Any suggestions?

Yes, I don't think they are at risk here. They will probably get adopted and hopefully to an appropriate home. I just hate seeing doodles (or any dogs) in shelters. But, they seem to be doing a great job here.
I'm going to go visit today.
Hope all went okay with your visit. I wrote a response but must have forgotten to hit send.
A lady I met yesterday (she saw my DRC shirt) is interested and will go to see him tomorrow. He is doing fine and is being groomed today. But, I still do need to get something going with doodle rescue here in So.Oregon.
Lynda, if anyone is interested in fostering for DRC, you can have them submit the foster application: http://doodlerescue.org/page/foster-application
Thank you. I will get something going here in SoOregon.
Both dogs were adopted and I am going to help with dog adoptions at the PetCo on Saturdays. A very good learning experience for me and I am impressed with our animal shelter here in SoOregon.
