Daisy has started licking her bed. She has one of those bolster beds the bolsters are microfiber. Every morning when she wakes up or every night before bed she licks and licks it until it's all wet. This just started about a week ago, she has had the bedroom bed for over a year.

I wonder, does it feel good on her tongue or what? Does any other doodles do this?

I will have to watch and see if it gets worse at certain times, like if she WERE in cycle (yes she was spayed). She has not licked her bed today - LOL maybe her phantom period is over.

I have heard that dogs use licking as a calming technique. Maybe she licks instead of drinking wine.  See, it can always be worse...!!! LOL!! Has anything happened recently that could be stressing her? Maybe she misses her sissy Bella. I think a puppy might be in order-for therapeutic reasons only of course!! :)

Just think, if your face was microfiber she would be giving you doodle kisses!!!!

Ricki, NO MORE DOGS! :-)

It figures, only my dog waking in the morning, waiting for DH to get up fro her morning massage stresses her out.

She misses Bella for a day then she is back to her ONLY DOG status....spoiled.

LOL!! Oh I get!! She is upset with her STAFF!!! It's hard to get good help these days...
LOL EXACTLY! 65# baby!
Oh my, YES, all three of my dogs do this...I have 2 doodles and a lab mix.  My furniture is microfiber and they lick and lick and lick.  They have been doing it for quite a while and at first I thought one of them had a weak bladder or something and was piddling until I caught them licking it.  I wonder why too maybe it is the texture and feels good on their tongue.  ?? silly pups :)

Both my doodles lick the couch. Myla licks everything! Our faces, the carpet, her feet she's nonstop!

I bet it does feel good on their tongue!
