Spring Arrived Today and so did…the HDA Medal!

Finnegan here…

 A big box arrived today from California!  Mom was so excited…she said it was from Chance and DJ!  Woohoo! I knew it!  Chance had arrived!!!

Where are ya Buddy? (Mom, I KNOW he’s in here!)

Hmmm … no Chance, but there was lots of great stuff!

My buddy sent me a ball and a bowl just like his!  Yummy treats and more!

How does Chance ever get his mouth around this?

 I’ll put it in a special spot! As soon as she leaves the room, it’s going right behind that cushion!

Could you fill my new bowl, pleeeease!

Mom was excited about something she called the HDA Medal and the little book that goes with it!  She said when she joined DK  she never expected to turn into a Hopeless Doodle Addict –at least not for several decades – but she said it takes a village to raise a doodle! She found Karen's Food Group and the Training Group. Then she found F’s Photography Group. You’ve all seen way too many pictures of me as a result :)   After a lot of hard work and lots of support from folks here, we became a Therapy Team and proud members of Adina's Therapy Group. Then we started going to Doodle Romps. We've met some of the nicest people and doodles! The rest, as they say, is history.

Since Chance got to wear the medal, I demanded equal time.  After all, she never would have joined DK if it wasn’t for me. And who lays by her feet for endless hours while she’s on the computer!  Who’s there when she laughs at Laurie’s blogs or cries when something sad happens? And who barks their appreciation at each and every video?

Mom says she can’t wait to watch the Yosemite video with me or taste the yummy olive oil!  I’ve heard her planning a trip to Yosemite.  She says places like Yosemite are sacred places of the spirit and she loves DJ's photos of the place. Yep, Yosemite is on her bucket list but I’m getting the feeling it’s not on mine :(

It’s ok, we had a special HDA day of being together!   Celebrating all we’ve learned and all the many interesting friends we’ve made on DK!

Thank you DJ and Chance for putting together such an awesome present!   Thank you DK for helping raise me!  I'm glad Mom's an HDA, and me? I'm just an HD -- Happy Doodle!

Soon the Medal will be traveling again!  Where will it go?

Hi Cheryl and Finn! Isn't DK the best?! I'm so glad to be counted among the lucky people to have met you (in person) through this awesome doodle forum. Who knew that it would be an avenue to so many wonderful folks, in addition to so much valuable information? Wally and Charlotte send their hearty congratulations to their buddy, the handsome Finnigan, and they want him to bring that awesome blue ball when they meet up in November -- that is, if he can find it from its hiding place!

LOL Thanks Laurie! That was such a fun day!  Meeting you and your gorgeous doodles was the best! The photo of Wally, Charlotte, and FInn singing together is one of my favorites.  Jilly looking on saying WTD???  I hope we can all do it again.

Thank you DJ!  It was great to get the medal from you. The squirrel is in his bed and that ball must feel good  because he's carrying it everywhere :)  Chance should be a toy tester, in addition to his other talents!
