Starting to "freak" out here a bit :o

I have am 82 inch area (dining room )that I need to find a sturdy fence with a gate that my dad can get through using a walker and will also keep my one year old grandson out also. My puppies crate will be in dining room on hard flooring. I have looked at flexi fences but it doesn't look sturdy. Anyone have any recommendations? No local pet stores had any that length in stock.

I think the toughest part will be figuring out if the walker will fit through easily...most gates have a bar at the bottom so your dad would have to lift his walker an inch or two.

Adina, thanks for mentioning the bar on bottom. I wasn't even thinking about that and my dh asked me what if we need him in a wheelchair...I guess I need to see how things go today after we get him home. I guess I have too much on my mind. Thanks everyone for your helpful posts. I am looking at a few of them.

Here's some I saw on Amazon...you may just have to lift or fold it to fit the wheel share through, but it is wide enough... or use two that can be easily separated maybe... if you buy amazon under DK a percentage will go toward DK... just a few ideas. Hope this helped.

Denise, check out this gate.  It expands up to 8 1/2 feet, swings open and no bar on the bottom.
