Lucy is 6 months old and 46 lbs. I have a question... At what age does a puppy stop growing and weight? Thank you :)

It depends on the expected adult size of the puppy. The smaller the adult size, the earlier they stop growing. This is easy to estimate with purebreds, not so easy with mixed breeds like doodles, who can vary greatly as adults.

Typically, the standards reach full skeletal growth (height and length) between 9-12 months. The minis usually complete their skeletal growth between 6-9 months. Both will continue to gain weight in the form of lean mass (bone density and muscle) past their first birthdays. Standards can continue to gain lean mass until about 18 months.

Thank you Karen.
