Most of you saw Joanne's recent post after Spud and Starlit's collar tag loops became entangled resulting in a very near disaster. Being a one doodle household I was confident that this was ONE issue that I didn't need to worry about!!   That was until I walked into the living room the other day and found poor little Tara with one of her stuffed animals hooked into her collar/tags and dangling from her throat!! She was trying to walk but, being a mini, she was having a tough time navigating with this giant stuffy hanging in front of her.

I don't know how this would have played out if I had not been home. I know she would not have been able to eat or drink but I am wondering if this could have become a dangerous/life threatening situation? I've tried playing out all the possible scenarios in my mind...but I'm not sure.  What is your opinion? Has anyone else had anything like this happen with their doodle and stuffies or other toys?

I think you are the third person to mention that their dog's tags got caught in an air vent!  That must happen fairly often!  A vent would be much more scary hanging from a dog's neck than a stuffy! I'm glad you were home too!!
Nicky, it sounds like the Boomerang tags are getting the most popular vote so far!!  Thanks for your input!
How scary-glad you were home with her. I like the link to the tags thanks! Glad Tara is ok and that she can forgive!
Thanks Jennifer! I find that doodles are very forgiving! :)

If anyone would like to order a tag from Boomerangtags.com AND help the Doodle Rescue Collective at the same time, email me with what you want to order.

adriannedrc@aolcom

The DRC has an account  - the price is the exact same as if you ordered from them directly - this tag is $10.20 delivered to your door with just a few days.  If you want a different tag, the prices are the same as the ones on the site.

This is what my girls have - no address just their name, my name and cell # and DH name and cell #

Sadly, Adrianne, there isn't something that works for the rolled leather collar.  Maybe some day 'they' will figure out a way to do it.
I haven't ever had any problems, but I put all of the dog's information on one tag so there is only 1 loop fastened onto the collar rather than several with the microchip, license, rabies, identification tags
Nancy, how in the world do you fit all of their info on ONE tag?? I can barely fit Tara's name and my phone number on Tara's tag!!  Are you using microprinting or something? LOL!
