2am last night & all day today.   I got a very short summer clip on Sooner for the first time yesterday and Sooner has gone wiggy.   At first i thought the groomer used a product that Sooner was allergic to or they didn't rinse him well enough.   I gave him a bath at 6am, and he's still uncomfortable.  Like chewing on himself, running around the house, jumping up on one couch after another rubbing, and then settling down for a bit, and then starting again.  Not a happy camper.  Anybody have this happen before?  One of my neighbors with white poodles gets them clipped to the skin in summer & she says they love it.  Poor Sooner.

Wow, other than razor burn I just can't imagine.  How short is he anyway?  To get razor burn it would have to be to the skin.  I guess if he was allergic to something they put on him, even re-washing him wouldn't give him instant relief.  It would be in his system and take a day or two to work its way out.  Maybe you should call the vet...I know we give Benadryl (human) for bee stings so they may suggest that.  I'm curious to hear what others say.  Good Luck!
Chloe had a lot of itch problems and the vet always says Benadryl to us too! Probably a product they used?
Thank you Nancie & Gracie Doodle,  the groomer said they used an 8 blade on his main body... so there is a fuzz left.  maybe razor burn.  i will give him some benedryl tonight.  Can't believe i didn't think of it for last night, except i thought the funny feeling behavior would be over soon.

This happened to one of my fosters that got shaved down before I picked her up.  I think the blade got to hot and they nicked her in a couple of places.  The vet had me use childrens Benadryl and spray used for hot spots.  If he's licking alot it can cause an staph infection.

I'd bet anything it's a skin irritation or burn from the razor.
