Talk about attitude!

We took Quincy to the local Farmer's Market this morning-his first trip.  I think he was disappointed because a car ride usually means the dog park!  He was raring to go when we got there and wanted to check out all the other dogs and sniff all around.  

We saw a beautiful and very regal standard black poodle who was in a sit position, with his owner holding him on a taut prong leash.  The space for us to walk by was narrow and would bring you within a foot or so of the poodle.  Well-Quincy would have no part of that!  He sat down and was not going anywhere near Pepe Le Pew!  The poodle owner told me that his dog is very dominant!  I guess so-Quincy spotted his 'tude from the get go and was having no part of it!  We had to walk around another way.  I remember Karen stating that dogs communicate in many ways.  I am glad Quincy seems to be reading his fellow canines and now knows who to steer clear of!

That was very interesting and a good lesson in respecting your doodle's intuitive natural nature.
