My Meg is a champion shedder and I am not an enthusiastic enough housekeeper to stay in front of all that hair.  I feel bad that I am the way I am but not enough to change it.  The second part of the hair issue is that since we have both dogs I realize that the dust factor has tripled and when I vacuum the bin is full of that grey powder (dander?).  Here lately I have just been frantic about the issue, I know it needs more than I throw at it, the girls are NOT going anywhere so we just live with it, one strategy is to quit wearing black around the house (or any other color than grey or white). 

So I stumbled on an add for Roomba, fat chance that could keep up with my Meg but desperate times call for desperate measures, right?  We bit the bullet and bought the one with rubber rollers on it.  It has been a jaw dropping experience for the last three days. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS THING!! We did a thorough vacuuming and then put it down the next day to go to work, I want to pick it up and hug it.  This little buggar just runs all over the place doing exactly what it is meant to do.  I am still so fascinated that I dump it out in a white plastic bag just so I can see how successful it is.  No wonder I couldn't keep ahead of it.  If you are sitting on the fence about whether or not to invest in one I hope you go ahead and do it.  We read all the reviews on each model before deciding, this model does not have brushes, but rubber rollers instead that are easier to get the hair off, a must have here.   It does not scare my girls like the vacuum does and between the Roomba being a little work horse and the new air filter we put in the dust on the furniture is more manageable as well.

Good to know, thanks!  I'm equal parts horrified and amazed at what the Dyson picks up here, but I'm just not into vacuuming as much as I need to be, haha!  Looks like the Roomba is my next "must have" purchase!
