Does anyhow have any luck or tips about brushing their doodles teeth?! I can't seem to get Lucy to like it, in fact she hates it and promptly runs away from me. I'm just hoping to keep her teeth and gums in better shape and avoid costly vet bills in the future

Hi Daniela, Cooper used to let me brush his teeth for a good minute or two. Now he hates it and runs away. What I do is show him a treat. I know he's probably not supposed to eat anything after I brush it with his oral care gel. I figured it's a very small treat so it should be fine. He'll then let me quickly brush it for about 30 seconds, then I give him the treat after :)
Thank you Jenny! Maybe I will try offering the treat afterwards. I too always felt I shouldn't but if it works even for 30 seconds that's better than not at all.
Check this video out. This is how I did it. https://youtu.be/SfsUfaeeXKY

It's not Annabelle's favorite thing to do either. She squirms, and tries to lick the toothpaste. I use short brushes or one that slips on over your finger. I find I have better control with shorter brushes. I don't use treats.

Yeah I'm going to switch to a finger brush also. I like the video and maybe for the next week or so I will take that approach and try again. She's only 5 months old and her teeth still look pearly white!

It is just making it an everyday practice. I use  finger brush. Daisy accepts that but is not keen yet on the regular dog toothbrush. she gets better at it everyday.
