My puppy has started loosing some of his baby teeth (he is 4 months) and I just noticed today that towards the back of his mouth his gums are like a blackish/grey color. Is this normal? It is exactly the same on both sides... I attached a picture of what it looks like.

I am not sure about my girls gums (will have to take a better look) but they have that color in splotches under their tongues...Meg even has a heart shaped one under her tongue.  I think it is normal.

Okay, thanks for some reassurance. :)
Looks normal to me. Ask your vet when you next go in.

I don't know about the black spot, but the green fuzz in the mouth made me smile. :-)  Looks like someone has been chewing on a tennis ball...

Haha yeah he was chewing on a tennis ball that time! It was the only way to keep his mouth open ;)

Considering that both sides of his mouth look the same, it is highly unlikely that it is any thing to worry about. The first thing I do if I find a lump or bump on Quincy is to check the corresponding area on the opposite side of the body. It's always great when I find it's matching buddy on the other side. :>)

That is so true! Thanks!! :)
I was going to say the say thing! Both sides look the same.....but you can always ask the Vet, next time you there.
One of my Goldens use to have similar spots on his gums and tongue.
