Thank you to everyone that responded to my request for the best way to teach Lizzy Lu (7 mo old Goldendoodle) to obey the command to come. So many good points and teaching tools. We are excited to teach Lizzy this important command and feel confident with such good advice from experienced doodle owners. This forum is the best!
Are there any Goldendoodle owners in the Fort Worth, Texas area that are interested in occasional "doodle sitting?" We have a huge fenced back yard and would like to exchange dog sitting as well as playdates. Lizzy has not been spayed yet as we are waiting until she reaches a year old as per the advice of our vet so only females for a few more months. We are both retired so one of us is home most of the time.

Glad folks were able to help.  Come is probably the most important command we can teach, and also probably the hardest to get with 100% certainty.  I wanted to suggest that you can click on the Members tab at the top and then in the search field you can put Ft. Worth, TX and you should see those in the Ft. Worth area.  You'll be able to see who is the most active members by checking out their pages.  Also, there might be a Ft. Worth Group under the group tab.  I'm not sure about that.  There is also a group for swapping dog sitting but I can't remember the name of the group.
