Last night I heard Monty give out a woof.  I thought he needed to go out but instead of finding him at the door, he was laying in the hallway.  Then I heard a noise on the deck, peeked outside, yep there he was!  We hurried down to the back door, turned on the light.  He went over the the bird feeder which was nearly empty, pawed at it and left it alone. (he had already ripped another off the hanger)  Within a few minutes, he casually left the deck and back into the woods.

I  was able to get my camera to work this time, but took this thru a door window and a screen door.  Darn, I tried to keep my cool to get pics this time.  I think you can see this big black bugger walking away.

This is him too.

You may recall we put up some inexpensive fencing to keep Monty in the yard.  Well that nice bear actually came and left at the same spot.  And so here is a pic of where he gently crossed over the fence.

Fun times!

Okay, this is super, super scary to have a bear on your home's deck. I mean scary.
yep, we were shook up, but safely inside the house.
This would totally freak me out....I'm actually thinking it's as bad as Jane's gator.
I'm thinking the same thing.  I surely don't want gators neither!
Yikes! Not good! Be careful!
Wow, Sharon...you live an exciting life :) A bear on the deck is not something you see every day....thank goodness. Glad everyone is ok and he went on his merry way!!

The first time we seen the bear was in May, you might recall we had a bear/bare event on the deck that night. LOL

I have heard from some neighbors that this bear is spotted from time to time around our area. He didn't wreck anything except for the feeder and fence that was squished.  Just another hungry critter that I would just as soon have stay off the property.

OMD! Be careful! I would be freakin out!
Lotta good that fence did!!!!
We knew the only good the fence was for keeping Monty in.  It's not high enough to keep the deer out, bunnies and groundhogs can get in too.  If I win the lottery, I might look into a bear proof fence!  lol
Wow!  Jane and her gator, you and your bear.  What next??  For awhile, we had a lame raccoon that stopped by occasionally to help herself to some cat food, but that's NOTHING compared to "lions, gators, and bears, oh my!"
