The HDA Trophy has Arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Hopeless Doodle Addict Trophy has arrived in Torbay, Newfoundland. After a little mixup at the post office and a sharp rise in Ricki's stress level, the package was delivered into my hands. Quincy's nose immediately went into overdrive and he just knew there was something in there for him. He was nose deep into the package from Ricki and Tara.

We had planned a landmark photo shoot for the trophy but Mother Nature has been less than cooperative, with gale force winds and lots of rain it was time for plan B.
It seemed only fitting that to recieve this prestigious award we should do like the stars do when they receive their awards and get glammed up just a little ( and write our acceptance speech of course). I didn't have time to get my diamonds out of the vault. :>)

Thank you, thank you, we are so honoured to be chosen for the Hopeless Doodle Award. We now join the ranks of all the other HDAs before us and take our place on the Leaderboard of Fame ( that's the equivalent of having your star on Hollywood Boulevard). I would like to thank Adina(and Clark) for starting this wonderful site, all the wonderful friends I've met here, the groups and their leaders who have taught me so much, the members whose competitive nature and wonderful senses of humour have kept me laughing and thinking. And last but not least I would like to thank my wonderful doodle Quincy, without him none of this would be possible, he is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I'd also like to thank DH for putting up with the time I spend on DK.

We recieved a wonderful package from Ricki, with chocolate, popcorn, a beautiful Oregon mug and Beef Jerky. Quincy is absolutely delighted with the salmon treats, beaver and the monster ball( which is now his favorite toy). Ricki also included some info on Oregon travel and I was pleased to see that Newfoundland and Oregon have a lot in common.

There are now a couple of extra nose prints on the HDA Trophy.

Thank you Ricki and Tara for all the goodies! I will have to pace myself as I am trying to drop a few pounds.

The Monster ball will not hold up to a tough chewer. We take it out and play with it for awhile and then put it away. If I left him alone with it he would have it destroyed in about 2 mins. This way we will get to enjoy it for a little longer.

You might try it laurie...roseY is on her second one but it has withstood 100s of hours of play and baths in the water bowl

TY Jennifer, I did the photos myself, if I told DH I was doing this he would think I had really gone over the edge. LOL He is however, suggesting items for me to send along to the next addict and is going to pick a couple of them up for me.

LOL... I hear THAT.. I had to sneak my video, but then you all saw how enthused DH was at the end to be included... and - HE was the first one to tell me to "talk to my doodle" friends for the flea advice... they are too funny!
