Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I know we have had discussions here about the large annual increases people have experienced with PetPlan insurance. I'm wondering if those of you who have Healthy Paws insurance have experienced similar annual increases?
I'm trying to decide between the two companies. :)

I'm not surprised. They're insurance agents not necessarily dog people. It is disappointing though. You've done everything humanly possible to assure that you will have a healthy dog, but from an insurance standpoint you don't get any credit for it.
But what a lucky puppy you will have. He will have the best food and health care and mom that any puppy has ever had. Can you adopt me to be your dog too?
LOL!
That means you are paying just about the same as I am for Daisy an 8 year old Poodle/Golden mix, and look how little I pay for Dexter, that is CRAZY!!!!
I know!
One thing HP wants all the medical records with the dr notes and lab results. So it its best to keep up with them than to have to send several years worth when you have a sick or injured pup.
We have Healthy Paws for all 3 of ours. As you know, Winnie is the only one that we have had since puppyhood, and her rate has only gone up a few dollars the past 4 years. And yes, Indie (our Standard Poodle) has the highest rate of all even though he is the youngest at 2 years old... doesn't seem right. His rate is very close to Bob's, who is a 4 year old Goldendoodle.
Thanks for confirming this, Lori.
For those of you who are interested, here are the premiums I have paid for my dogs and you can see the yearly rise in costs. I have Pet Plan.

Someone is a good record keeper. Looks like I should be prepared for the worse.
No, I just started a discussion back in March of 2012 and I make sure to update it every year with the new premiums :)
