It's Limerick Time.

For those who just can't wait to rhyme
Thank goodness it's Limerick time
You may be a poet
And not even know it
So let's see those poems sublime

Last year I had a little idea that quickly grew into the War of the Limericks. It seems that Lauricki some folks have been waiting a whole year to do it again.

 
A Limerick is a kind of a witty, humorous, or nonsense poem especially one in five-line form with a strict rhyme scheme (AABBA), which is sometimes obscene with humorous intent. We'll skip the obscene and just go for the humour. The Limericks may be on any topic you choose.

 
There once was a bunch on DK
Who sat at their computer all day
Their house was a mess
And they seldom got dressed
When there was a fun game to play

There is nothing on TV but basketball

Purdue better win or you will hear me squall

But it preempted my favorite shows

and that didn't sit well, I bet you know

Enough is enough, yeah Purdue didn't fall

Lauricki is so misunderstood

All she wants to do is spread happiness and good

But people are confused

And feel they're being abused

Because they don't understand jeniuses like they should

Some people are awfully deluded

Laurie and Ricki must be included

Thinking they could out make us believe

They are so smart, are we that naive?

No, this matter is thus simply concluded.

How can you say such an inaccurate thought?

Of course we are smart, but you seem overwrought

Mere mortals can't beat us, haven't you been taught?

Things that I despise

What about telling a tiny white lie?

Sometimes not everything is clear as pie

Like do these pants make me look fat?

If you say yes, you might be called a rat

A lie might be better so someone doesn't cry

A white lie is fine of course

But some lies are as big as a horse

To think oneself smart

Is a self esteem art

But "jenius" makes us question the source

I did not make up the definition of smart

And I did not buy my brains at Walmart

It is good genes, I say

There is no other way

When I look in the mirror, I see a jenius with a heart
