Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Since this is a helpful forum, I have a designed a useful checklist for dog owners.  Don't try and beat me to the Patent Office on this one.  I am sure not everyone needs this simple checklist, but there are plenty of others, ok maybe four, probably just one who resides with me some that do.  No names will be given to protect the guilty, and I most certainly do not want to embarrass my husband anyone on this forum. This is strictly a to do list before bedtime for those of us with dogs, married to people who come to bed last without a thought for others sleeping or watching Person of Interest care in the world.  For most of us it is self explanatory.

 Nightly Checklist

Last person to come to bed should do the following:

  • Make sure the dogs have clean water in their bowl.
  • Take the dogs out to go potty.
  • Give the dogs a treat when they come in from outside.
  • Turn off all the lights and lock the door.
  • Stop pretending you are asleep when none of this is done.

DUH!!!

I was so excited to hand this helpful list to someone (again, no names, so this person can remain anonymous) who sleeps in my bed I know and was sure it would be well received and welcomed. The recipient read it, and then mentioned where he thought the perfect location was to stick it keep the list and ended with a DUH. I think a little tweaking may be in order, but I think this is really going to help. Let me know what you think!

Keep in mind I can delete that comment and you will have no proof!!

Too late the DK world has seen it.

OMD!  Y'all are so funny!

F...you had better watch what you are suggesting or else that "model in the bikini" photo will show up again!!!!  You know...the one you love hate!

Nancie, She is constantly trying to make me post that picture :) LOL

I heard you CAN teach old husbands dogs new tricks.

HOW???

Laurie,   You should have this down pat....being that you are so competitive....simply FAKE sleep better than DH.   This takes patience, but after two nites I think you'll have him trained!

Thanks, Carol. I love all my tips :) LOL

Hmmm, at first I was sure that was meant for MY DH ! Then I got to the part about sleeping in your bed, and... well, I won't say I wasn't a bit dissapointed. :(

Lets face it, it ain't never gonna happen !

LOL...34 years of marriage and I just won't give up :) I know I can get him trained one of these days.

Don't forget the treats ; )
