Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Since this is a helpful forum, I have a designed a useful checklist for dog owners. Don't try and beat me to the Patent Office on this one. I am sure not everyone needs this simple checklist, but there are plenty of others, ok maybe four, probably just one who resides with me some that do. No names will be given to protect the guilty, and I most certainly do not want to embarrass my husband anyone on this forum. This is strictly a to do list before bedtime for those of us with dogs, married to people who come to bed last without a thought for others sleeping or watching Person of Interest care in the world. For most of us it is self explanatory.
Nightly Checklist
Last person to come to bed should do the following:
DUH!!!
I was so excited to hand this helpful list to someone (again, no names, so this person can remain anonymous) who sleeps in my bed I know and was sure it would be well received and welcomed. The recipient read it, and then mentioned where he thought the perfect location was to stick it keep the list and ended with a DUH. I think a little tweaking may be in order, but I think this is really going to help. Let me know what you think!

It may be learned Helplessness or It could be genetic. It may be associated with that gene that does not allow men to find what they want in the refrigerator. :-)
That must be the same gene that makes it impossible for men to figure out how to replace the toilet paper roll on the holder, too.
My guy leaves one tiny square on the toilet paper roll so I can never accuse him of not replacing an empty toilet paper roll. I am telling you...this guy is good :) LOL
I just saw a sign in the store that read, "Changing the roll of toilet paper will not cause you brain damage."
LOL! Maybe they already have brain damage and that's why they don't know how to change the toilet paper!
LOL
Yes, I did a blog awhile ago called...Do you know someone who feigns incompetence? It sounds an awful lot like learned helplessness :) You are right....it all gets done when I am not home.

Oh Jane, right on! I do this too.... He does do all the locking up and checking the house before he goes to bed, but he goes to bed earlier than me. When the doods and I come to bed, I sleep till morning. Buddy caught on so quickly that I wasn't budging in the middle of the night that now he goes right to his Dad only :) Sometimes the monkeys take turns waking him up too. I just continue to breath...... I figure it's the least he can take care of, except for the afternoon feeding (theyhave him wrapped around their paws for that one too) I do the grooming, walking, training etc.....
Jane, I think you are a genius. I just need to out wait, out play, and out last him! I can do it.....I can do it....I can do it.....LOL. He is very good, though, and has had years of practice :) I think you are right about the 2 for 1...too much work and I do like to see John dance :)
I did have fake poo I put on his pillow. I could put it in that poo bag and tell him Joanne said to do it :) LOL
Laurie, I don't know what you are complaining about, my DH is wonderful, he reminds me every night to lock the door and turn off the outside lights after I've taken Quincy out for his last potty. :>)
