Today is National Pet Memorial Day!

While Jack is my first dog and most likely my only so I have never grieved for my own pet before...however , several on you have... I thought it would be nice to give a tribute to the amazing dogs of your past if you wanted.

I would love to see pictures.....I think it is important to honor them, I bet there is a lesson somewhere in their life that we should all learn.

Here is our precious Duke. He was the benevolent dictator of the dogs in our family. All the dogs (we had four for quite awhie) knew he was the alpha and treated him with the utmost respect. We had a Clumber Spaniel first so even though Duke was the alpha he treated our old Dudley with such kindness. He could understand anything we said to him. I swear he spoke English fluently. He was a treasure and we loved him to bits. I wish I had a photo of our Clumber. He was the clown of the family and made us laugh every day. We talk about both of them all the time. We have been so blessed.
