Today is National Pet Memorial Day!

While Jack is my first dog and most likely my only so I have never grieved for my own pet before...however , several on you have... I thought it would be nice to give a tribute to the amazing dogs of your past if you wanted.

I would love to see pictures.....I think it is important to honor them, I bet there is a lesson somewhere in their life that we should all learn.

Here is our Sophie Girl -- March 3, 2008 - March 11, 2013Here is our Asti.  She was our first dog after we got married and was with us just short of 16 years.  She moved with us from Las Vegas, to Ohio, to Connecticut and finally to Florida!

Asti was supposedly a Toy Poodle.  She actually got a little bigger than a toy was supposed to be staying around 15-19 lbs most of her life.  We purchased her from a Pet Store that didn't normally sell dogs but they had her.  She was sold without papers.

Sophie will always be remembered by so many of us, Sheri.

My heartdog, Hondo, was a member of our family for seven years.  He died in September of 2010 of liver failure.  For me, there never was, and never will be, another dog like him.  We think of him, and talk about him, daily.  Harpo has tried his best to replace Hondo, but that just never can be done.  Some dogs just have a special place in your heart that will always be just that - a special place in your heart.

Hondo is beautiful..... and you are right can never be replaced but Harpo should not be the replacement but rather the new addition to bring his own light and goodness to you...
