While Jack is my first dog and most likely my only so I have never grieved for my own pet before...however , several on you have... I thought it would be nice to give a tribute to the amazing dogs of your past if you wanted.

I would love to see pictures.....I think it is important to honor them, I bet there is a lesson somewhere in their life that we should all learn.

Thinking of you all who lost a pet of any kind.

Beautiful photo of Hondo.

I tried to put the text on after I downloaded the photos but for some reason it will not go on. Thought I would try to leave a reply. The top two photos above are of Jessie, my lab who died on Mother's Day 2010. Jersey 8 weeks old was in the 2nd pic with her. Under them are Casey and Holly, German shorthaired pointer half sisters. There were three more GSP's before them, Daisy, Cookie and Candy. Then came Heidi, my weimaraner, Little Bit, a beagle/basset mix. Those are the ones I have lost since I have been married. There was also Brownie, Jet, Tippy, Chipper, and Bounce my childhood dogs. Can't wait to play with and love on them all at the Bridge.

Wow, so blessed and lucky to have so many dogs to love on you and to be loved by you.   I love looking at all these pictures and even hearing their names........

I love that there is a National Pet Memorial Day because I think it is awesome to learn of other pets that we may not have known about.... these are all such precious dogs....... \

I really thought I might get sad reading all of this but it makes my heart smile to see the impact these beautiful gifts from God have had on all of your lives.

I remember that photo of Jessie and Jersey.  So cute.  Love that old, grey face.

What handsome dogs.

Jennifer ~ Thank you for starting this discussion.

This is In memory of Wilbur our standard poodle.  Not a day goes by that I do not think of him. He crossed over the Rainbow bridge on December 18, 2010.  I was so depressed and a month later I was looking online at photos of labradoodle puppies and saw Charlie Brown's cute little face in a group of puppies that had been born on the day Wilbur passed.  I felt it was an omen and I put a deposit down on a puppy in that litter.  Low and behold the breeder picked that same puppy for us.  The rest is history.  Charlie came home to us on Valentine's Day 2011.  I still miss this big boy like crazy!!

Wilbur is so beautiful!!!!!! Incredibly!!!! What a stunning dog!

Thanks Jennifer.  He was such a show-off.  He loved to open presents (just like a little kid).  We let him open his and ours! LOL

Jack opens everyone's presents! I love that about my stinker butt!

I LOVE how that happened.  I am a firm believer in the circle of life.  I lost my best friend in January 12 1/2 years ago.  Another dear friend adopted twins the following April, but they were actually born 1 week to the day after my friend passed.  The minute I met the babies something clicked, just like it did when you saw your puppy's picture. They are my Godchildren and I couldn't love them more!

Robin ~ Thank you for sharing your story.  I can just sense that your Godchildren are so very very lucky to have you in their lives.
