I've taught Cruiser 22 tricks he learned from 9 weeks on. Can anyone think of any other tricks I can teach him? He currently knows:

Check out this DKer's videos. He's taught his doodle a ton of cool tricks.

Does "ring bell" also translate to "lights?" Rouser can turn the lights on and off (he doesn't love doing it, though).

I've also found these to be handy:

-"Go to the fridge" (our mini-fridge as the big one is too hard for even me to open it) which then translates to "get a treat from the fridge". Note - he has to close the fridge, too!

-"Where's daddy" or "Where's momma" - Rouser helps me find my husband when I come home which is great.

-"Take this to...." After then know the where command, they can take items to your spouse.

-"Show me" We do this if Rouser barks (he VERY rarely barks, but it's how we stop him). We say, "Show me" and he takes us to whatever is bothering him then we say, "that's ok, enough" or "good boy" (if it's the gardner or meter reader who just show up in our backyard.

I also accidentally taught Rouser to tap his foot on the ground. I was trying to teach him different names of his toys by putting three toys in a row and then tapping my foot on the ground in front of each toy as I said the name of the toy. He kept looking and looking at me like, "What in the world do you want crazy lady" and then he tapped his foot like I was doing. So I gave it a name and treated him.
Ring the bell means he goes to the side of our full size fridge and hits the belt of sleigh bells to ring if he has to go potty. We did this when he had to go more often. Now at 6 months he can hold it 8 hours now. Rouser sounds very smart. I'm afraid if we teach Cruiser how to open the fridge, he'd eat us out of house and home.LOL I will try that cool trick of "Take this to...." That is a good one. We are teaching him now to fetch certain toys by name. I also plan to get large toddler blocks with letters and numbers and see if I can teach him to recognize them. The "Show me" Rouse knows is great. What a great dog! Aren't Doodles and Labs the best?
Leslie and Halas: How awesome it was to see the tricks on DKer's videos. I don't know if I can ever do all that, but sure is something I'd like to try. Thanks. Cruiser sure loves to have his brain stimulated.
