My girlie was hit by a car a week ago this evening.  She was rushed to the emergency clinic in critical condition.  Three days later, she was released and will require ACL surgery on her right hind leg.

The following morning I discovered that a person/persons had cut a hole in my chair link fence.

She is improving every day and her Uncle Truman and I are thrilled she's back with us.

I wanted to share our happiness with you.100_0086.jpg

OMD!  How horrible!! So glad she is going to be okay!  Why in the world would anyone cut your fence??

I can only presume that someone was trying to gain entry into my backyard so they could enter my home through the sliding glass doors on the patio at the back of the house.

The police weren't helpful at all.

I'm glad she's going to be okay. It's really frightening that someone would do such a terrible, senseless thing.
What an awful thing to do!  I hope she continues to get better and better!!!

Thanks to you all.

Here's Twilight and Truman.  She's recuperating and he's watching her do that.  lol

I am so glad your girl is doing ok. What a scary experience. She is a beautiful dog.

Your dood is beautiful - I love the black doodles!  I am she is ok and back home.

This is so scary. Thank you for posting. Hoping her recovery goes smoothly and she has to suffer the least amount of discomfort.
She is beautiful.  I hope she continues to recover quickly.
This is just terrible. I wonder if your fence was cut so that someone could steal her but she got away? One of my dogs tore his CCL and had surgery.  You have to confine them for a while, but with what you have been through with her so far, it will probably not be that bad!  One suggestion for keeping the foot and bandage clean is to put a child sock on the foot.  When she is taken outside to potty, put a dog poop bag on under the sock.

Thanks for the advice.  I've had to keep her quiet since she came home this past Saturday.  She's feeling better and getting a bit feisty.  lol

What a scary thing for you all. I'm so happy she is going to be ok, sounds like a rough road ahead.

What is wrong with people anyway? Do you think that someone wanted to get in your house or take a dog? Whatever the reason, people are nuts! Be very cautious! We just had a post on craigslist that a girl saw a man trying to pull a white maltese puppy out of a car window (of course left in the car alone) and the dog was yelping and biting him. The next day I saw a post for a white Maltese 3 months old for sale. Don't know if it's the same one but please be careful. People will do ANYTHING for money these days.
