Several of you asked about whether DVGRR was able to rescue any of the "moms" when they took in the 21 Doodle Kids. It looks like they did. I just got this response in my email and thought I would share it:

Dear Cheryl,
Thank you from the bottom of our Golden hearts for your wonderfully kind and encouraging words. We never handled Doodles before so we weren’t sure what we were getting into but no matter the risk, we were moving forward at a rapid pace for fear of what might happen.
We rolled onto the “breeder” property and were met by a few people who were poised to hand-off the pups. We received several puppies and some adults, so hopefully we got a few out of the breeding cycles. We have our ears and eyes poised for more action if warranted.
In closing, we are delighted to have your support and if we can be of service to your organization, please call on us.
Many thanks.

Here are a couple of photos of Miss Lisa Marie -- one of the doodle moms who was rescued. I wasn't sure if she was a poodle or a small golden doodle until I saw that doodle smile!! Here she is enjoying some "girl time" probably for the first time in her young life. Get out the kleenex!
I was laughing the other day, reading some of the posts of the volunteers who had never met a doodle before. They were describing how different these pups were from their retriever pups. They were learning all about doodles -- like the "doodle zoomies," doodle hugs and kisses, and how the pups take the balls and toss it around by themselves if no one's available to throw the ball. All the stuff we already know and love about our doodles they were seeing for the first time. When I first wrote them, I mentioned DK and how thankful we were that they took these pups. Just thought I'd share.

Got it! Thanks so much Lisa!
Thanks so much for sharing. Keep us updated if you learn any more.
Will do Nancy :)
Aw, those photos are terrific! What wonderful news - thanks for sharing, Cheryl. I make a donation to the group!
I just made a small donation to the rescue organization and received this email back from the Director:
Thank you Michele, for your note and gift. As a professed breed snob, I am coming clean – I adopted one of the blonde GRoodles and he has been a wonderful puppy so far. Very laid back and very smart.
I’m about to “come clean” to all our donors about my “switch”….just working up the courage!
All but 8 are in wonderful homes, and the remaining puppies should be adopted by this weekend. Thanks again for helping.

We have a convert! I encouraged her to join us on DK. :)
YES!!! Good work for ratting her out, Michele but let her know we got her back if she needs us. And Cheryl, thanks for keeping us posted!
Woo Hoo!!! Hope she joins us too!!
Awesome....a dog in need is a dog in need in my book.
Look at the smile in the first photo. I bet nobody would believe that dogs actually smile but we know different
DKer's --Hugs to each and every one of you for the way you've responded to the Doodle Kids. You're the best!! It sounds like all the kids will be in loving homes by this coming weekend. Let's keep hoping the moms will be too.
