Does anyone know of a doodle rescue in the DC Metro Area? A co-worker needs to rehome her 16 month old male goldendoodle. Any suggestions would be helpful. I don't want this pup to be taken to the pound.
And people who aren't breeders at all, but just irresponsible people with intact dogs who let their pet dogs have a litter or two, thinking they can make a few dollars.
He almost looks like a golden retriever-lab mix. Was the mom a poodle or a retriever? Makes me wonder if the mom was a GR who had a fling with a labrador close to the time she was bred with a poodle. Or maybe it's goldendoodle x goldendoodle cross so there were more golden retriever genes to go around--those long legs are poodley but the rest of him is pure retriever!
Meghan, thanks so much for helping Cooper find his way to a loving future! It is a difficult story to hear (either version) and there are thousands more like it happening every day. I am so grateful for people like yourself who are not afraid to step in, get involved and be the voice for a dog who is in need. Bless you!
Hi Robin! Although it has been a while, I am still very touched that you thought to open your home and heart to a doodle (or any pup) in need. Maybe I can help you find another pal? I'm always hearing about dogs that need a forever home. Can you tell me what kind of pup would be a good fit for your home?
