Our little boy Riley is 15 weeks today. He has been doing very well at notifying us of his need to go outside to relieve himself. We also allow him to go outside regularly so that we can help minimize and prevent accidents in the house. He is doing very well. However we have noticed that he seems to be intentionally urinating on his dog bed in our living room. In fact he has done this to 2 different beds, both in the living room.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to prevent this or why he might be doing this?

Thanks,

Brandon

I would guess that the smell is still in the dog beds so he goes back there to pee.  If you are not cleaning the area with an enzyme cleaner like Nature's Miracle, little Riley will still be able to smell it (even when we can't smell it, a dog can!)   I think I would clean the beds properly and put them away for a bit and see if he quits.  It is important to take the pup out on leash to pee... not just let him out on his own.  This way you can be assured he pees before you bring him in.   Do you have a crate for Riley?
