Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Today is Snickers vaccination day, and I just wanted to bring attention again to DK readers on what happened last year. You can read the full discussion here http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/need-insight-possible-vacc... but essentially, we got his vaccinations including the one for Kennel Cough and because we exposed him to daycare a day before his compromised immune system was unable to handle the exposure and he got a very nasty version of kennel cough. So, this week no day care, no dog park, and no play dates with his girlfriend Nessie (the flat coat retriever). Only walks with mom and dad and playing in his backyard. Just a heads up if you are vaccinating soon,

Good advice. Thanks for the reminder!
I do the bordatella vaccine intranasally, and separate from any other meds or vaccines. This doesn't cost any more, as if the dog is UTD on everything and has had a physical exam, I just drop by and the vet tech administers it, so no office visit and no charge for anything other than the bordatella vaccine. You might consider doing it that way if Snickers has a problem with it.
You can also get 3 year vaccines for most everything else.
Good luck with the vet visit!
