Vinny swallowed something HELP!

Vinny has been trying to throw-up....I think he swallowed something yesterday! He keeps
gagging w/ no luck. I'm just hoping whatever it is he will digest. Hopefully it's not a candy
wrapper from Halloween or a wire bread tie! He seems to get those!! Do you think I should take
him to the vet? Have him x-rayed????

and here i thought the pronged collar was cruel! i just feel aweful, I'll probably just get him a harness~

Good idea - we use a harness and it is effective and doesn't hurt Lady peri.

Keep an eye on Vinny. My daughter was down visiting with her Rhodesian Ridgeback right at 4 months old. She had just had her last puppy shot two days before she arrived. Luna was sneezing a bit and then it went into a runny nose and from that to green! We took her to our vet and he checked her all over and even listened to her chest and breathing. Figured she might have had a reaction to the Bordetella that is sprayed up the nose. He put her on an antibiotic just to be safe. We got her home and she started with the gaging cough like she was trying to get something up. From the first visit on Tuesday to Friday morning she went down hill. We rushed her back in on Friday and after an x-ray we found out she had pneumonia in the right lung. It happened that fast!!! They added a second antibiotic and also did the injection hydration under the skin because she was running a fever. We had to take her back the next morning for another hydration before they hit the road for their 8 hour drive home. She recovered without any after affects but we pretty much concluded that she had the H3N8 flu. It is serious stuff especially in puppies. She was one very sick little girl but with lots of love and tender care she survived. They can take a turn for the worst almost immediately so keep an eye on Vinny!! Our Gracie who is 2 1/2 didn't get it but since Luna had exposed about 7 dogs in our neighborhood, we had to keep an eye on all of them. Everyone is fine. Puppies are the ones to watch out for!
