Cisco makes A LOT of noises... I find it really funny. It is normally when I am gone for a bit and then come home, he will make like little grunts and all sorts of different sounds. Is this normal? Do your doodles make lots of noises? I'm curious if he is happy? sad? excited? telling me not to leave him again? :)
Also, if I try to mimic his noises, he makes them even more. Very funny!!
Thoughts??

Goldie doesn't make any noises. She is the quietest dog I've ever had. According to my daughter her barker is broken so I guess so is her other noises box.
I actually had a cat that couldn't meow once. There was something with her voice box that she could make a squeeky sound but no meow or purr... but you could feel the vibration when he was "purring". I don't think I can ever get another cat now. lol
Sounds like you have a happy boy who likes to talk. :D
Chopper is a talker with lots of different vocalizations. He will grunt happily when I scritch his ears. He with sigh heavily and flop to the floor when bored. His will bark a high pitched bark when he really wants something and when someone knocks on the door he will sound all big and scary with a few big boy barks. When the boys get on the bus for school and I am in another room he will howl pitifully as if left abandoned then get mad and bark at me when I make fun of him. /:) Occasionally when I am on the phone he will bark while I am trying to talk. :/
Too funny!! Yeah he almost seems like he is part walrus!
Ellie is a talker. She grumbles... like what Pat and Traveler said it's kinda like a growl but not.
She also sighs quite a bit if she wants to play and no one plays with her... it's quite funny. She drops her ball so it bounces away on the floor, flops down and sighs.
