I was just on an outing to banish the cabin fever. Drove about 20 minutes to an outdoor mall, finally found a parking space and then we walked maybe 10 minutes. Too cold, about 27 although it was minus 1 when I went to bed last night. And it was windy! But on the way home I was listening to the blues. How good. I heard Wang Dang doodle and that immediately cheered me up. And made me think of DK.

And inspired me to play more music. Sadly I hardly ever listen to music at home although I love many kinds of music. The receiver, CD and casette  player are ancient, I can hardly get the station I was playing in the car so I could use a new one. Hopefully compact and wonderful. Any recommendations?

You've inspired me, F, some blues would be the perfect thing for this snowy cold afternoon. I'm going to explore music options on my iPad while I listen to my old CD player which is still working fine.

Isn't it funny that the blues can cheer you up. Maybe because you are rarely as miserable as the subject of the song : ) Actually the CD part of mine works fine too. Maybe a little Janis Joplin.

Or Billie Holiday etc.

Great suggestions, and I have both. :)

Of course : ) But first I will listen to Wang Dang Doodle a few times on my laptop. Playing as I type.

LOL, thanks for inspiring me to bring out my Koko Taylor.  The best!

: )

Go to an internet radio site like Jango.com and listen to any kind of music you can dream of :)

Thanks BG.

Here's a great oldie. I bought a CD with this a few years ago.

Ohhh F. love that one!  They featured that song in Dirty Dancing (and I only know that because I saw that movie two dozen times or more :)
