Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I was just on an outing to banish the cabin fever. Drove about 20 minutes to an outdoor mall, finally found a parking space and then we walked maybe 10 minutes. Too cold, about 27 although it was minus 1 when I went to bed last night. And it was windy! But on the way home I was listening to the blues. How good. I heard Wang Dang doodle and that immediately cheered me up. And made me think of DK.

And inspired me to play more music. Sadly I hardly ever listen to music at home although I love many kinds of music. The receiver, CD and casette player are ancient, I can hardly get the station I was playing in the car so I could use a new one. Hopefully compact and wonderful. Any recommendations?

Lots of great choices out there. Do you want to listen on the radio, on the computer, on an iPad, on an MP3 player or ??? After you decide how you want to listen to the music, that will guide you to the type of player you need. I have a subscription to XM Radio in my car and for a few $$ more, I can listen on the computer. Since I already own lots of CDs with my favorite music, I also have a Bose Wave Radio to listen to. Yes, it is a pricey radio - but the sound is SO great. It is a relatively small radio so easily moves around the house. I love to listed to it while cooking, while doing housework, etc.
Being from New Orleans originally, my jazz collection is quite eclectic - dixieland, smooth, contemporary, etc. Now, living in Jackson, MS we are half way between Memphis and New Orleans, so get to hear the "fight" about which jazz is the best. Frankly - I love them both equally. Each for a different mood. And locally, can also throw in some really great "blues" from some of the original old blues singers.
Sounds like a GREAT project for this cold weather blues. Think I'll break out some today as we de-Christmas the house.
