Warning: Check harness for fraying

I use an Easy Walk harness with Chance, and I love it except for the fact that the harness is not as sturdy as I had hoped it would be. The instructions warn customers to check the harness for rips, etc. frequently, and please heed that warning if you use this harness.  Here is a photo of Chance's harness, almost ready to break when I checked it today.  

This is the third Easy Walk harness that has developed a rip in less than a year (and I don't keep the harness where Chance can bite or chew on it).

Found this harness that has the "premier" tag and another tag that has a "M" on it where as the "PetSafe" harness has a "S".  just doesn't have the little logo of a dog on it.  Not sure if it is the same as the older (sturdier) harness.  know that you can sometimes find older/discontinued items still available online.

I agree. Do a search on Amazon using the keyword Premier. I'm sure there are still some Premier Harnesses in stock.

I found one on Amazon and ordered.  We'll see if the harness inside packaging has the same label as the older premier harnesses.

We I have used ours about two years...mine says premier on it as well! I just checked it out...no fraying or anything...I will say Jack doesn't pull when we walk though.....I love ours....he pulled the first time or two with it on and that was it...

Of you bought it at Pet Smart they will take it back....that is insane they are breaking like that.

Quincy actually chewed through his in the same spot while he was wearing it.  He was able to get his mouth under that part of the strap.

Call them- they will replace it for a nominal fee.  I did that and they were very nice.

Interesting. perhaps this is what happened with Chance as well.
