We Are Looking For A 2nd Goldendoodle...Any Suggestions??

We live in RI and would love a playmate for our 13 week old Goldendoodle.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Steve, If you do a search on second dog or adding a second dog, you will see that there has been lots of discussion on this same subject. We have some members that feel it is best to have your first dog totally trained and others that jump right in getting a second dog. Good luck in whatever you decide!!

Take your time and do research. Do you want another puppy? Will you consider a rescue? See the main page and put in an application to the two organizations so if a pup that you want comes in, you will be ready. Also, you might consider being a Guardian family. You may want to wait until the one you have is older and trained a bit and can show the newbie the rules. Do you have the time and energy and money for two? Lots to consider.

There was a recent discussion where someone with a pup of a similar age was considering getting another. Anyone want to find that one and share the link?

I personally don't recommend a 2nd puppy so soon. Training is such a long and commitment-intensive and time-intensive process. Your pup can and will be perfectly happy being an only dog. If after she's past her teenage period and trained to the level you want her to be YOU want a second dog...then go for it!

I live in Warwick and am looking for a playmate for my goldendoodle K-Leigh.  She is 90 # fixed and loves to ruff house with small dogs (she thinks she is 5#) (in training she was with pugs) If anybody is interested email me and let me know
