Posting this because at this moment I'm stuck at home waiting on my husband and fighting an anxiety attack. jace went potty about 30 min. ago and it was pretty much pure blood, called my current vet, soon to be ex vet because of the way I was treated over the phone, and they told me it was from "straining" Jace has only went 3 times today and barely had to strain, I told them that and all they said was he needed the metro. I'm fed up with them. I called the animal hospital and they said that this is important, they would see him and to get him there asap. I'm ready to go out the door as soon as my husband gets here. I have a dog on my hands that is pooping blood and is barely moving. I am terrified, one of my worst fears has occured and I'm helpless at this moment. I am furious at my current vets office, they must be a special kind of ignorant.... Please keep us in your thoughts, prayers, etc. I'll update soon.

You and me both......*sigh*
Yayyy! Oh, I'm so relieved!
I will, Went by Kroger on my way home and picked up plain yogurt when I got the pedialyte and baby wipes, someone probably thought I had a sick baby at home LOL. In my opinion, I do.:p
Phew!!! Glad that Jace is doing better. Also, happy that you have found a replacement vet. We almost lost Traz to bloat and a twisted stomach back in July. The last thing I needed was someone (vet) telling me it was nothing. Thank goodness our vet was on it right away and saved Traz's life. Continued positive thoughts and prayers for Jace's speedy recovery. He's got things to do, places to go and things to see :-)
Glad you found someone you are comfortable with!! So glad you went, you must be relieved! Hoping Jace feels better!
Emily, I am so glad that Jace is going to be okay. What is going on with our doodles? Owen has been at the vet clinic since noon yesterday hooked up to IV fluids because he was badly dehydrated. They did x`rays to rule out an obstruction because he was very tender in his belly area. He had gas built up in the stomach and colon. The members of our family have had bouts with the flu for a bit over a week. The vet said it is very rare, but dogs can get the flu from humans. My DD was reading about it in Michigan. We are in Hawaii. Owen was vomiting Tuesday night, straining to defecate and refused to eat breakfast on Wednesday so we took him into the clinic. They have a vet at the clinic from 7 am to midnight and techs there through the night.
I hope Jace recovers quickly. We might get to bring Owen home tonight at 8:00 pm. I'm so ready.
Oh my goodness Bonnie! we're having bad luck!!!! Good thoughts are being sent your way as well, I'm glad you get to bring your Owen home tonight! I was afraid that they were going to keep Jace but luckily it seemed he had turned a corner when we got there and he wasn't severely dehydrated, just slightly. I had to squirt pedialyte down his throat when we got home because he wouldn't drink water :( he did not like me for that one bit.
Bonnie, I hope Owen comes home tonight and feels better!
Bonnie, I hope you get Owen back tonight and things settle down. OMD you've had a week. Could Owen's problem be related to bloat? Hugs to you!
Oh Bonnie - best thoughts going out to you and DD too. Poor Owen!
