welcoming commite

When new members join this site they might feel a little alone.  so i was thinking we would have a group, called the welcoming commite(sorry if i spelled it wrong!).  These people would, of course, welcome the new members.  They would have to go on every day,(who doesn't?) look at the new members, and say hi, send a friend request and stuff like that to make them feel as welcome as possible. If anyone has already mentioned this in one of the discussions i'm sorry for repeating it.  Please let me know your opinion!

Newbies welcoming newbies is always great too! My goal by days end is to go welcome everyone that joined around the same time as me! What a better way to start friendships then with those that are in the exact same boat, right? :)

I have tried to welcome the Newbies every single day.  I am on and off DK all day long and when I log on it is the first thing I do.  I hope I have made some feel welcome!

I've been hitting all of the newcomers pages. I've hit everyone that joined over the weekend with the exception of a few. I can take on that task for this week and keep welcoming them all. Since I'm new myself, I actually like going to their pages and welcoming them :
