After being so sidetracked from DK by 'life' lately, I took sometime yesterday and now this morning to catch-up. (gotta' LOVE those days off from work). As I was looking at all of the posts and pictures of everyone's doodles, I realized that there was one feature that always gave me an "AWE!" moment. Now we all love doodles for their intelligence, comical ways, and 'special' looks, but what is it that gives you that AWE MOMENT? For me.... it's a really black nose. I love the contrast of a black nose against the hair on a doodles face. Now, although it's very hard to see Tori's little black nose, it's there. But on those lighter colored doodles - it is something that truly melts my heart!
I love noses, doodle butts, giant bear paws, floppy ears, soft bellies, soulful eyes, ah you get the idea! Quincy has this thing he does when you are talking to him and he doesn't know quite what you are saying he raises one eye and then the other in the equivalent to a human doing the raised eyebrow thing, it is so totallty adorable.
It is super hard to beat that just woke up, bed head, stretch, yawn and let out a squeeky noise moment each morning. One favorite body part not mentioned which I just love is the furry strip near the bottom of back leg. I call them his mukluks.
I just melt when I come in the house and get greeted at the door by Knox -- always with a toy in his mouth! I think he loves me SO much and just wants to share his favorite things with me! He wags his whole body when I acknowledge him AND his toy. "Hello, Knox and Mrs. Pig!!!" or "Hey, Knox and Mr. Cow!!" etc...
Harpo has a way of talking that I just love. It sounds rather like gargling or having a mouth full of marbles. I haven't known another dog to do this, but Harpo usually does it first thing in the morning.
