What Feature of a Doodle Makes YOU "Melt"?

After being so sidetracked from DK by 'life'  lately, I took sometime yesterday and now this morning to catch-up. (gotta' LOVE those days off from work).  As I was looking at all of the posts and pictures of everyone's doodles, I realized that there was one feature that always gave me an "AWE!" moment.  Now we all love doodles for their intelligence, comical ways, and 'special' looks, but what is it that gives you that AWE MOMENT?   For me.... it's a really black nose.  I love the contrast of a black nose against the hair on a doodles face. Now, although it's very hard to see Tori's little black nose, it's there.  But on those lighter colored doodles - it is something that truly melts my heart!

Hondo had a way of stretching that I just loved.  In the morning, after getting his scratches while we had our coffee in bed, he would casually stand up and walk off the bed with his front legs and s-t-r-e-t-c-h way out with his back legs still on the bed.  Then he would saunter down the hall after my husband to go get the newspaper.  It was his normal morning routine.

That is so funny. Monty does exactly the opposite thing. When he decides it's time for us to get up on the weekends, he would pounce on our bed by our legs, but only with his front legs. You can see his tail wagging as he slowly walks on the bed with his front legs, with back legs still on the ground. His legs are so long that his front paws are way beyond the middle of our king size bed by the time he is fully stretched. Then he somehow lays down on his side with his front part of his body, still wagging his tail, waiting for me to sit up on the bed, reach over him and hoist his doodle butt to the bed (where he normally jumps up with great ease). Doodles are just sooo silly.

I love their noses, their eyes... Rosey has gorgeous copper eyes, and well Bandits are black like the rest of him but he knows how to use them!!

Do only the dark hair doodles have red nose? I am thinking I need one of those!!!

Not necessarily. Chewie's mom, for example, is light-coloured but has a rose nose.

This is a pic of Chewie's mom, Crystal. Chewie got his nose from her. Chewie's dad is Chocolate but has a brown nose.

All chocolates come with the liver nose and points. None are ever black nosed. But black doodles never have anything but black noses and points. The lighter ones vary and their coat color is usually named based on the nose color.

Hmmmm.. all this time and I never even realized that, Adina!  Liver, black, or red,white and blue.... those doodles noses are always so cute!

I love the kisses and the doodle stretches!! I think because I see how big he is getting!! I love the noses. I love the eyes. Ohhh I love when I am talking to him and he tilts his head to the side.  Ohhh I love when his ears flip back in the wind. Ohhh I love when he talks to me after I have beengone. I ask him if everyone was nice to him and he does that doodle talk back. and YES he is talking back to me right!! My family tells me that I am crazy. I just say yup! crazy for my doodle!!!!

LOL, my doodle talks back as well. We got scolded for that in an obedience class. I told Monty to sit and he did, but had a lot to say about it. The trainer (really strict....I started calling him a Nazi trainer) yelled at me for letting my dog argue with me and I was thinking that I DO like when my dog has something to tell me. We switched trainers shortly after... :-)
