What is considered Shedding?

Hi Everyone,

We have had our Curly Fleece labradoodle for 2 days now and ive noticed if im wearing a white shirt and cuddle him when i put him down i have a few brown hairs on me. Would this be considered shedding, or just normal hair loss from a non shedding dood.

His fur is very soft. I have attached a photo for you to see what he looks like. Im just curious if this is a normal thing for doodles to do.

My Gabby Labby does shed...alot. She's about 9 months old and has soft curly hair. She had been clipped very close when I first brought her home 3 weeks ago, so her hair is very short still. I sweep up piles and piles of fluffy white cotton balls daily. I give her a good comb once a day and it is always filled with that cottony stuff. My Aussies never really got their adult coats until they were two - and then another year after that before they really looked good. Do most doodles take that long to develop their adult coat?
