What kind of dog?

This is my daughters dog Crash. She got him from the HS. I was was wondering what kind of dog you think he is.

He is about 2.5 years here.  He has a Big Full Tail...It curls up.  Weighs 50#

Lots of Border Collie in there I would say for starters, she is lovely.

I'd say Australian Shepherd, with that coloring, and probably some spaniel.

I agree - with that blue merle coloring, the coat style, and the broad head most definitely part or mostly aussie (my aussie Axel was a leggy girl of 65 lbs.) Of course it could be a catahoula mix as well. 

 

Whatever breed he is, he's one handsome and lucky guy!

He is a great dog.  He got his name Crash because he crashed into alot of things as a 4 month old pup...Fell off stuff, etc Crash!

He is very mellow, quiet, laid back.  The middle dog is her Aussie...He is the alpha dog in the house. (about 1 year younger)

I never heard of a catahoula, He does kind of have their markings...Not the temperament- thank goodness.

 

The HS thought he was part Australian Shepherd...they didnt know what else.

That Curled full tail kind of throws us off.

Also his fur does get very full & thick in the winter...Makes him look about 15# heavier.

I agree on the Aussies not being Mellow....Her Aussie in the picture is a pain in the butt- LOL
