I agree.
Sorry that Jackson is having issues. If he has raw sores, there is a danger of infection and he needs to be seen by a vet before Friday. I hope there are alternatives where you live and that you can find a vet who can and will see a pet in an emergency.
Can you post a picture?
Poor Jackson. Friday is too long. There are some vets that don't make appointments. You just go during the hours and wait. My vet is that way and at first I didn't like it but I found it really works. My former vet went from no appointment to appointment only but I found I was still waiting, sometimes a couple of hours. I hope Jackson get relief soon.
My first reaction is Jackson may have fleas, however I am no expert, and would get him to the vet as quickly as possible. Good luck and keep us posted.
I would contact another vet.
Poor Jackson and I too think he should be seen sooner then Friday!
I'd say he needs to be seen sooner! My pup had a rash a few months ago and it ended up being hives all over his body. He needed some sort of shot asap so I took him in a few hours after noticing. Still don't know what the hives were from.
Hope Jackson feels better soon!
I took Jackson to the vet today. He did have some sort of allergy. Possibly flea allergy or something he ate. Maybe even from pollen. Something caused the initial hives but because he kept biting and scratching he developed an infection Pyoderma and that’s the reason some had puss, crusty and raw areas. The vet gave him an antibiotic (covenia 80mg) injection. I have to got back in two weeks for one more injection. He said I will see a fast dramatic improvement in 24hrs. Thanks for all the advice I am so glad you all said go in now. I feel so much better knowing he will have fast improvement and relief.
I am so glad to hear Jackson got treated. He clearly needed to be seen and he should heal fast now.
So happy you got Jackson in today and glad they found out what was bothering him! Hoping for a speedy recovery and Mom feeling less worried!
