I know no one is going to change their dog's name, because a lot of thought went into the name you picked for your dog. I have noticed that a couple of dogs on DK now have aliases, so it got me thinking and I decided to post this question. If you were forced to change your dog's name, what would you chose this time around?

I was in the huge minority when I picked Fudge's name, but I still love it. My sister went on and on for days that it sounded too much like another word and would not let it drop. Luckily, I never listen to her and it annoyed me enough that I was sure my puppy would be named Fudge. I might even have told her to "fudge off".  If I was forced to change her name, this time around I would go with Penny (because of her color) or Cookie (because I love the food names).

Fudge, Penny, or Cookie?

Vern's name was chosen by my husband and it fits him so perfectly. Know what I mean, Vern? It is actually Vernors after the Midwest Ginger Ale. However, it I had to change it, maybe Harland (after Colonel Sanders, because it reminds me of chicken and Vern is a big chicken) or Mac (which could be short for Macaroni or Mack Truck). I also love Noodle, but that was vetoed by my DH.

Vern, Harland, Mac, or Noodle??

I have a Megan Elizabeth and there were five others in her High School graduating class...not very original. I wanted that name forever, but then The Thorn Birds came out and I think Megan really caught on that year. I used to love that show Quincy.
I would rename Cooper Barnum, and rename Claire Bailey, because it is always a circus around here.  Although, sometimes I think they should be named Dumb and Dumber!!  I really love a lot of the names I have seen on DK.  They are so original, and suit each dog so well.
If I had to rename Knox, I would name him "Bud" or "Buddy," mainly because that it just what he is -- my big buddy!  I really wanted to name him Bud or Miller to begin with -- our last name is LIGHT.  Get it??? haha
That would have been hysterical...Bud Light. Knox is so original though, although Angelina and Brad did name one of their boys Knox. Probably after your doodle :)
Their Knox came first, lol! You have probably read this somewhere on something that I have written, but we have a Chevy dealership. Our first doodle was Tahoe and this guy was named after the EquINOX! With our last name of Light, you can imagine all the suggestions for names that we received when I was expecting our children!!
My sister has the last name of Bahls (pronounced Balls), so you can imagine all the names we threw at her when she had children. She would probably gladly trade you for the Light name...LOL.

Corky, it would just fit Echo so much better. That is in similar vain to Pat's "Doofus."

I wanted to name him Toby (cutest singer) but daughter rejected it saying it wasn't right to give a pet a human name. And there are so many Toby's on here. I also liked Whiskey

We had Whiskey on one of our lists too. A friend of mine wants her next dog to be Kahlua. I think Echo is a very cute name.

I don't know, I LOVE Vernors.  I grew up on it.  Put it with ice cream and have Vernor floats, oh that was the best thing.  Childhood memories.....I love the name Noodle or Mac.  DH and I are Very much so food people so that is why Dublin is Dublin...after the cheese & you cant forget the beer in Ireland!  Next Doodles name is going to be Milan...because I love Italy (at least from what I have heard and seen on TV) and one day I hope to go and eat and drink......

We called those Vernors and ice cream floats..Boston Coolers in IN, where I am from. Have you ever heard of a Boston Cooler? We still try and get one when we go back to IN to see family. Love the name Dublin.
Jack has always been Jack to me, I never caved once, He was named after someone I loved dearly who also had a dog named Jack, Little House on the Prairie is my favorite show ever and of course Jack was there before Bandit and I love Jack Johnson. If someone held a gun to my head I would change his name to Patrick. Since I don't see a gun, I think I will stick with Jack, Jackie poo, Jackie doodle, Jackson, Jacky whacky and Little J
Ditto on Little House on the Prairie, and your Jack does look like the Ingall's Jack.  It was a shock to me that the actual Jack was a bulldog!  Did I read that right?  Seriously, Laura, maybe you got it wrong?!?
