When and how to transition to 2 meals?

Hello!

My Luna is almost 6 months old and weighing 39 lb. I've been feeding her 3 times a day (total 3 cups).

I'm wondering when is the best age to transition her to 2 meals a day, and if it should be done cold turkey or slowly proportioning the quantity she gets at the midday feeding.

Any advice or suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

 PS - I did a quick search on previous posts but was unable to find anything. Apologies if this has already been discussed extensively.

You didn't find anything in your search because most food and feeding info is in The Food Group here, lol. 

Four months is the age many of our pups transition to two meals a day. For sure by 6 months, they are more than ready to skip that middle feeding. 

You can do it cold turkey. You may have to give her dinner a little earlier than normal for a few days until she gets used to the new schedule.
