I don't know if it was just me being silly but when Huff turned 1 year old I kept thinking that he was going to get old and die sooner. I actually got to the point where I cried a little bit. Am I just morbid or have any of you ever thought about that or felt this way? I just want him to live a long happy life.:)

Try not to worry Taylor.  I am sure Huff will live a good long life.  When you love something sooo much, it is natural to worry about losing  it.  By worrying though, you miss out on some of the enjoyment of having such a great pet.  Try turning your feeling of worry into feelings of appreciation and tell youself each day how lucky you are to have Huff.   And then celebrate with him by playing a game of fetch or giving him an extended ear rub!
BG, You said it perfectly! Taylor, listen to BG...she is very smart :)
Yas she is Laurie:)
hahaha:) That is what I do now but when I thought of it then, it made me so sad. Thanks for your encouragement anyways:)
Perfect advice!
I think we all have occasional thoughts of losing our dogs. But I agree with BG, try to get busy with the now of things and don't dwell on the what ifs.
Yes!!!! I snuggle up witht the 2 of them and then I start thinking what will I ever do without them and I cry because I love them so much. Must be because Chloe will be 4 this month and Myla just turned 3. I also have a 13 year old cat and I never really lost a pet of my own before, but it often comes into my mind. But they give great advice above, I'll have to think of that next time. They definitely know that they are loved!
I am glad I am not the only one.:) haha
